Ticketek Entertainment Group (TEG) has appointed Brad Turcotte as Senior Vice President of Country for its global touring division, TEG Live, signaling a significant strategic expansion into the country music genre. This move underscores TEG’s commitment to bolstering its presence in the genre, which it identifies as a key pillar for its growth strategy. Turcotte, a seasoned executive with extensive experience in both record label operations and artist management, will spearhead TEG Live’s country music initiatives across North America from the company’s newly established Nashville office.

The appointment of Turcotte is a strategic imperative for TEG Live as it seeks to deepen its engagement with the global country music ecosystem. Nashville, the undisputed heartland of country music, serves as the ideal base for this expansion, facilitating a stronger connection between North American artists and TEG’s established markets in Australia and New Zealand. Turcotte’s background brings a wealth of expertise to TEG Live. Most recently, he was involved in artist management at Vector Management. Prior to that, he held significant leadership positions at UMG Nashville and Big Machine Label Group, where he played a crucial role in shaping international strategies and executing global campaigns for some of country music’s biggest stars. His tenure at UMG Nashville saw him leading international efforts for artists such as Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Luke Bryan, and Keith Urban. At Big Machine Label Group, he was instrumental in the international rollout of Taylor Swift’s highly successful albums, including "1989," "Red," and "Speak Now."

The integration of Turcotte into TEG Live’s operations is expected to significantly enhance the company’s ability to identify and cultivate artist talent for international touring. His deep understanding of global music markets, particularly the dynamics of country music dissemination across diverse territories, positions him to effectively bridge the gap between Nashville’s creative output and audiences worldwide. This initiative is particularly focused on underserved markets, with a notable emphasis on the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia, which TEG views as a market ripe for development in country music touring.

TEG Live’s country music division is being further bolstered by the leadership of Alex Kelsey, Head of Touring, Country Music, and Clay Doughty, Head of Strategy, Country Music. Additionally, Vanessa Picken, Global Director of Music Strategy, recently joined the team, further strengthening the division’s capabilities. This collaborative leadership structure is designed to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to expanding TEG Live’s footprint in the country music landscape.

The company’s commitment to country music extends beyond traditional subgenres. TEG’s strategic focus encompasses a broad spectrum, including traditional country, alt-country, Americana, folk, and contemporary crossover formats. Turcotte’s career began with the founding of Compadre Records, a venture he successfully sold to Mathew Knowles and Music World Entertainment in 2007.
